3M POLY MIC BELT
These 3M™ Micron-finishing Film belts are made in England with high strength film backing and micron-graded aluminum oxide mineral. They are waterproof and provide a uniform, close tolerance finish. They have a proprietary lubricated Aluminum Oxide sanding surface which is excellent on steel. The 5 mil flexible poly backing has a friction coating on the back that resists slipping.
The following are approximate grit comparisons between Micron and European "P" grading:
- 10 mic = 2000 grit
- 13 mic = 1500 grit
- 15 mic = 1200 grit
- 30 mic = 600 grit
- 40 mic = 360 grit
- 60 mic = 240 grit
- 80 mic = 180 grit
- 100 mic = 150 grit
