Products > Discs > Mechanical Locking Mechanical Locking These discs have plastic inserts attached to the back which screw into their respective holders. They are meant for very high RPMs which would normally cause a PSA or Hook & Loop disc to detach. There are three main attachment systems: A: ROLOC® initially introduced by 3M® has a male screw attached to each disc. The ROLOC® holder is female. B: METAL BUTTON has a female button attached to each disc. The metal button holder is male. C: POWER-LOCK® introduced by Merit® has six plastic sides which snap into a female holder of same design. We stock all three types of discs and holders. The discs are either cloth backed abrasive or non-woven fiber similar to surface condition discs. Sale prices are listed in red.
